FAQ

Questions, answered

What file types do you accept?

We accept STL, 3DM, and OBJ files. If you’re not sure which format you have, send what you’ve got — we’ll handle the conversion.

What’s the average turnaround time?

CAD models are typically completed within 1–2 business days. From there, projects move through printing, casting, setting, and finishing in about 7–10 business days total, depending on complexity.

How does the approval process work?

Once your CAD design is ready, you’ll receive an interactive 3D viewer link. You and your clients can rotate, zoom, and inspect every angle before approval, speeding up communication and production.

How is pricing determined?

Every quote breaks down each stage: CAD, printing, setting, casting (based on live metal price and weight), and finishing. No flat rates, no guesswork — just clear line-item transparency from start to finish.

Do you accept mail-ins or walk-ins?

Yes. We accept mail-ins and in-person visits by appointment. Include your contact info and any notes with mailed items, or book a visit so we can review your project in person.

Can I get a sample or test print before committing?

Yes. We can produce a physical resin sample before casting so you can confirm fit and proportions. It’s a small added cost, but it saves time and metal later.

What if I already have a CAD file from someone else?

No problem. We can pick up from any stage — print, cast, or finish your existing design — even if the CAD was done elsewhere.

Who owns the CAD files?

You do. We’ll deliver files on request and can work from a shared Drive/Dropbox folder for ongoing projects.

How many revisions are included?

Two rounds of minor adjustments are included with CAD (taper, thickness, prong tweaks, sizing). Major design changes or new directions may affect price/timeline.

Can you handle rush orders?

Yes, when feasible. Rush slots are limited and may carry a surcharge. Fastest path: have stones in-hand, approve via the 3D viewer the same day, and confirm metal choice.

What metals do you cast?

10K/14K/18K yellow, white, and rose gold; platinum (Iridium & Ruthenium); Platinum 900 and silver. Weight can vary slightly based on design and finishing—expect normal tolerances.

Do you set stones and work with client-supplied gems?

Yes. For customer stones, we do an intake, inspection, and photo at drop-off/arrival. Setting risks (e.g., natural inclusions, pre-existing wear) are discussed up front to protect everyone.

How do shipping and insurance work?

We can provide insured labels both ways, or ship to you with your preferred carrier/insurance. We document contents and condition at each hand-off.

What are your payment terms?

Payment is typically due upon completion, once you’ve received and approved the finished piece.
We understand that timing can vary from client to client, and we’re flexible — the key is keeping communication open so projects don’t stall.
Once a piece is ready, we’ll send a quick invoice; prompt payment just helps us keep everything moving smoothly in the queue.

Can you sign an NDA / work white-label?

Absolutely. We’re B2B-friendly—NDA and white-label are standard on request.
